I'm interested in other worlds. The ones that lie right next door, the ones you only notice if you look closely. Also the worlds you can discover if you stray from the path. And those that are better invented yourself. I seek out and visit other worlds. With painting and paper collages, I create other worlds, and in photography, I document fragments, details, and inhabitants of the worlds I visit.
I'm self-taught. Not by choice, but because my life apparently had other plans. My professional background was quite good preparation. I was a professional musician, a graphic designer in the music industry, a music supervisor in the film industry, a teacher, and a psychotherapist. So I learned to listen, to observe, to perceive, to question, and to appreciate with gratitude. None of that is truly essential in this world, but it's fun.
